Medical Projects

We do this important work around the world regardless of politics, religion or culture. The factors that motivate us are need and sustainability. Assist procures and installs the equipment (ICU/CCU/NICU monitoring with central station, step-down unit monitors, ultrasound, x-ray, etc.), trains both the medical and biomedical personnel, brings all the consumables needed for the first year of operation and warranties all equipment for a full year. Assist International works with corporate partners (GE, Philips Medical Systems, etc.) and hospital partners (Stanford University Hospital, Salinas Valley Memorial Health Care System, etc.) in procuring, installing, training and maintaining the life-saving equipment which is given to hospitals providing critical care to patients in developing countries.

Donate an Infant Incubator
This is your opportunity to donate toward an infant incubator, and help save special little lives. Our work takes us into some of the most neglected areas of the world, and one of the simplest measures with the biggest 'return on investment' is an infant incubator.

What better way to feel the impact of your donation than through a neonatal intensive care unit?

Assist International has installed thousands of Neonatal Intesive Care Units (shortened NICU and pronounced "Nick-yoo"). They are absolutely vital in the care of ill and/or premature infants.

Newborn infants have several important disadvantages in terms of being able to regulate their own body heat. An newborn infant has a relatively large surface area, extremely poor thermal insulation, and a small amount of mass to act as a heat source for itself. The baby cannot conserve heat by changing posture, and cannot adjust their clothing when they are cold or hot.

Your gift will directly impact thousands of newborn babies. Thank you for partnering with us to provide LIFE and HOPE.
