Neonatal Monitors
Neonatal Monitors are crucial for monitoring the heart rate, respiration and temperature of critically ill newborns and infants. Many hospitals in developing countries lack this essential life-saving medical equipment.
Assist International has delivered Neonatal monitors to dozens of hospitals that are in desperate need of this equipment. Doctors can save the lives of newborns by detecting any early warning signs by using the monitors. Recent projects have helped hospitals in Hungary, Ghana, Uganda and Sri Lanka.
Assist International, in conjunction with longtime partner Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System, also updated two Budapest hospitals in Hungary.
Their first stop included installing specialized cardiac care monitoring systems that can be used with newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit in the Pesci Pediatric Teching Hospotal. Here, doctors come to learn critical care for infants.
