Orussi Health Center

Assist International recently provided an ambulance to Orussi Health Center in Nebbi-Uganda.  We just received a letter of gratitude from the leader of the health center, Sister Florence Owacha.  Here are a few excerpts from the letter:

“The entire fraternity of Orussi Health Center III consisting of Health Unit Management Committee, staff and community members extends their gratitude for your immense support and funding towards the new ambulance which has eased referrals…

The first referral upon arrival was to Lacor Hospital in Gulu when a six (6) year old child cut his patella knee cap accidentally with a panga knife very deep into two pieces and that is a distance of over 400 kilometer to and fro, and it was possible because of this strong new vehicle.”
